By giving to the Pentecost Offering, you help provide opportunities for children and young people to grow in faith. A foundation of faith established during childhood helps ensure lifelong faith and service. The Pentecost Offering, one of four special offerings of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), supports:

-Young Adult Volunteers (YAV) serving in communities around the world and growing as leaders through transformative

-Christian serviceMinistries with youthEducation and safe havens for children at risk

-Participating congregations may designate 40 percent of the offering to support local ministries.

2020 Nominating Committee Work Underway Announcement

The 2020 Nominating Committee has begun its work. Over the remaining months of this year, the Nominating Committee is considering nominees for the next classes of Elders, Deacons, and next year’s Nominating Committee. In addition, the 2020 Nominating Committee will bring to Session nominees who are willing to serve on the newly established Personnel Committee for the church. We covet your prayers for our work.
Also, if you are feeling called to serve the church in a leadership position, or if you know of someone who might be ready to engage more deeply in the life of our church, please reach out to a member of the Nominating Committee (Claudia Foulkes, Doug Aycock, Gayle Trautwein, Izzy Jones, Perry Chang, or Seth Craigo-Snell) and let us know.
Please continue to visit the CHPC website to stay connected with our faith community!

Zoom Reception After Church!
We invite you stay on Zoom immediately after this week’s worship service for a chance to say congrats to our graduates! It would mean a lot to them!
Honoring Our High School Seniors
We have planned ways to honor our high school seniors. One way you can participate would be to send them a congratulations through the mail. Please take the time to wish them well. If possible include any connections you may have to them- a particular memory, what you admire about them, working together (Build A Bed, etc.). If you have any questions, please call me at (703) 622-2906.

Thank you,
